CabalSEA - Cabal Online - Upgrade Force Cores Guide
Information:
As your adventuring through levels you’ll come across different types of cores - Low Cores - Medium Cores - Upgrade Cores (Highs) - Upgrade Cores (Highest) and Force Cores. You can always tell if a core has dropped as it will make a ‘bling’ noise as it falls to the ground; a noise I love to hear
Cores add stats to your weapons and armour - low, medium, high and highest upgrade cores add +’s to your equipment improving the stats of your equipment (upgrades go up to +7), whereas a force core adds a special attribute to equipment with a slot such as HP + 50.
Below is an explaination of each core so you know how to use them properly.
Be careful when using cores on equipment, especially when +4 or higher, because they have a chance to fail and the chances are much greater than +1 to +3.
If an upgrade attempt fails from +4 to +5 or from +5 to +6 then your item will go down by one level. (For example, if an upgrade attempt failed from +5 to +6 than the item becomes +4)
If an upgrade attempt fails from +6 to +7 than your item will be recduced back to zero.
- +0 to +1 - Fail = nothing happens
- +1 to +2 - Fail = nothing happens
- +2 to +3 - Fail = nothing happens
- +3 to +4 - Fail = nothing happens
- +4 to +5 - Fail = -1 to +3
- +5 to +6 - Fail = -1 to +4
- +6 to +7 - Fail = -6 to +0
Note: Items can NEVER break.
So, be very very sure of your decision when you upgrade to that +7 rank, because it fails more often than not.
To upgrade a piece of equipment, simply right click the core, and then drag it onto the item you wish to upgrade, and click on it. Be aware that the stat requirements of your equip will increase when you upgrade it as well.
- Low Core: Low cores are used for increasing stats on low grade equipment. They cannot be used on Titanium grade equipment or above, so if you want to practise using a core than practise with this one. Unequip the item you are upgrading, right click on the Low Core and then left click on the item, if it’s successful then your item will be +1. (Assuming it was 0)
- Medium Core: Medium cores are used for increasing stats on Titanium or lower graded equipment and are used in the same manner as a Low Core.
- Upgrade Core High: High cores are used for increasing stats on the high grade equipment and shouldn’t be used on low grade weapon or armour. Osmium, Shadowtitanium etc, are what you need to be saving and using High Cores on, anything else is a waste. Just like Low and Medium Cores, right click to use.
- Upgrade Core Highest: The rarest of the cores, white in appearance, and the only core that can be used to upgrade Mithril grade equipment.
- Force Core: Unlike the other cores you can only use Force Cores on items which have a slot and you can see the chance of success on a Force Core transmute. In addition, Force Cores can have two types of enchantments, level 1 enchantments and level 2 enchantments. A level 1 enchantment requires a catalyst which signifies the type of enchantment that will be given to your gear. A level 2 enchantment is more powerful then a level 1 enchantment but it is random and because it is random it does not require a catalyst but instead it requires two Force Cores instead of one. Keep in mind that you can’t use Force Cores just anywhere, you have to go to a ‘Core Alchemist’ to use them.

FAQ:
Q: What is Upgrading?
A: Slotted Items can be Upgraded to get extra stats
Q: What do i need to upgrade items?
A: First of all you need a slotted item wich you want to upgrade. You also need a Force Core and a catalyst to determinate the stats you get
Q: Wich items can i use as a catalyst?
A: You must use an Item wich got the same or higher quality than the item you want to upgrade.
Q: Wich stats i can get by upgrading my items?
A: +50HP, +2 Defense, +2 Attack, +2 Magic, +20 Defense Rate, +50 Attack rate, +10% Crit DMG,
Q: What determinates the stat i get?
A: Only the catalyst you can do it without catalyst but this will cause that you get random stats.
Q: Where can i upgrade my items?
A: At every Core Alchemist.
Q: Can i fail an upgrade?
Q: you got 75% chance of succes if it fails you will loose the Force Core and the item you used as catalyst
Summary
First of all a list what stat bonus does what.
HP UP = +50 HP
Defense Up = +2 Defense
Attack UP = +2 Attack
Magic UP = +2 Magic
Attack Rating UP = +50 Attack Rate
Defense Rate UP = +20 Defense Rate
Critical Damage UP = +10% Crit DMG inc.
Not every item can get every stat bonus lets start with a list of all catalysts and what they do.
Ah 2h Sword gets doubled stats because it replaces 2 Items (thx 4 information guide readers)
Helm = HP UP
Breast = Defense UP
Gloves = Attack Rate UP
Shoes = Defense Rate UP
Orbs/Crystals = Magic UP
1h Weapons = Attack UP
2h Weapons = Crit DMG inc.
But for example a two hand sword cant get +HP. so i also got a list wich shows wich kind of item can get wich stat bonus.
Helmets = Defense, Defense Rate, Crit DMG
Breasts = HP UP, Defense, Defense Rate
Gloves = Defense, Attack Rate, Defense Rate, Attack
Shoes = HP UP, Defense, Defense Rate
1h Swords = Attack Rate, Attack, Crit DMG, Magic
2h Swords = Attack Rate, Attack, Crit DMG, Magic
Orbs/Crystals = Attack Rate, Attack, Crit DMG, Magic
For expample you got a slotted bluestin helm and you want to upgrade it.
You can choose between Defense, Defense Rate and Crit DMG.
So you maybe think: ah, iam a blader and got high crit rate i want more crit dmg.
Then you have to use a 2h sword with the quality of slotted Bluestin or higher.
This howto should help you to choose the right upgrades for your armor without testing everything.
Good Luck with upgrading your Items

how can i get +4 skill EXP or what is the probability to get it in random and is there any more chances to get it if i use more core (3 FCM) or higher core(2 FCH)???
What Catalyst will i use to get Sword Amp %???
No catalyst is needed for Level 2 Upgrade (Sword Amp % is in the list). All depends on your luck. But if you have put a Catalyst, saying you get Level 1 Upgrade, unfortunately, you will get the Level 1 Upgrade based on your Catalyst
if magic amp equipments are being drop only so where can i hunt them?

Q. If +50MP is lvl1 ugrade why is no catalyst required on it?
kC - my opion to +50MP is to get +300 MP to helm, suit , and boots,
becuase it is required for duel to skill if you get debuffed by the, force blader to anti the mana freeze debuff.

Do not use different name sending similar comments. By the way, thanks for your comments.
You could only get MP Up by random, no people prefer MP Up because it is not really useful.
I think not every part can get MP Up. But you can try it and let us know. Alright? Thanks
If it works, which mean there is a counter on FB’s Mana Freeze. But your char will be weaker (by wearing MP set).
